The Color of Love Poem.

As part of  Poetry Month  Celebration, I adapted  a lesson on word choice and organization created by NNWP Teacher Consultant Karen McGee and inspired by the book I Love You The Purplest by Barbara M Joosse. Here are their poems. Enjoy them!

I love you, mommy, the greenest.
I love you the color of leaves hanging
from the Mesquite tree.
I love you the color of chasing grasshoppers
hoping all over the playground.
The juicy green grapes in my mouth.
The fresh cucumbers in my salad.
The juicy lime to make perfect lemonade.
I love you, mommy, the greenest.
